Angelina Jolie scores major legal win in winery battle with Brad Pitt
The ongoing legal feud between Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt over their shared ownership of the Château Miraval winery has taken a new turn, with a recent court ruling giving Jolie a significant advantage.
On Monday, a judge instructed Pitt to present a set of documents that Jolie’s legal team claims are crucial to their case.
According to Jolie’s lawyer – Paul Murphy – the documents include “communications concerning abuse, lies to authorities, and years of cover-up” allegedly on Pitt’s part.
These materials—comprising messages, emails, and written exchanges—are said to be vital evidence that could undermine Pitt’s defense and strengthen Jolie’s position.
In response, Pitt’s legal team had previously argued against the release of these documents, dismissing Jolie’s demands as a “sensationalist fishing expedition” and describing the request as “wide-ranging and intrusive.”
However, the judge’s ruling now forces Pitt to provide these materials, which, according to Murphy, may expose harmful actions against Jolie and their children.
Murphy further emphasised that Jolie never sought to prolong the legal conflict, asserting that she had already made efforts to settle the matter amicably.
