Why Taapsee Pannu keeps her husband out of spotlight
Taapsee Pannu has opened up about her decision to keep her marriage and husband largely away from the public eye, saying she does not want her family members subjected to unnecessary scrutiny.
The 39-year-old actress married Danish badminton player Mathias Boe in a private ceremony in December 2023 after dating him for around a decade.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Taapsee explained why she rarely shares pictures of her husband or his family on social media.
“When you see a picture or a video, it’s not just about me,” she said, explaining that any public post could also draw attention to people who have not chosen a life in the spotlight.
‘They didn’t sign up for it’
Taapsee said her husband is a sports personality but does not experience the same level of public scrutiny surrounding his personal life.
She added that sharing wedding or family pictures could also expose their guests and relatives to public attention.
“Whether it’s good or bad comes later. They didn’t sign up for it. I signed up for it, so I can’t make them go through that kind of scrutiny,” the actress said.
Taapsee and Boe reportedly began dating in 2013 and kept much of their relationship private before marrying in 2023.

On the professional front, Taapsee was recently seen in the action thriller Gandhari, which was released on September 3.
