PPP takes lead in Gilgit-Baltistan elections with eight seats

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has emerged as the leading party in the Gilgit-Baltistan general elections, according to unofficial and unconfirmed results received so far.

Vote counting is still underway across 24 general seats, with PPP securing eight seats in the results announced from 15 constituencies.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has won three seats, Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM) has secured one seat, while independent candidates have claimed five constituencies.

The early results indicate a strong performance by the PPP in several key constituencies of Gilgit-Baltistan.
