Celebrities rejoice over Twitter’s permanent ban on Donald Trump
After what felt like five years of hate speech, illogical rants and lots and lots of spam, Twitter has finally suspended Donald Trump’s account permanently — and naturally, people couldn’t believe it; it was too good to be true.
Citing possible violence and misinterpretation as reasons, the social platform revealed the reason behind their move, making it clear that absolutely no one, was getting away with breaking their community guidelines.
This isn’t about censorship or free speech. It’s about protecting lives. Trump’s words have now directly lead to 5 deaths & an attack on the US Capitol. Twitter/tech companies should always ban anyone who incites & encourages violence – especially when they have a big platform.
