Fatah-1: A New Security and Technological Development About Pakistan’s Indigenous GMLRS

The Pakistan military has conducted a test flight of a guided multi-launch rocket system (GMLRS), Fatah-1.

The indigenously developed weapon system is designed to be able to carry a conventional warhead up to a range of 140km, according to Director General of Pakistan Army, Media Wing, major general Babar Iftikhar.

ISPR also shared a video of the launch, in which a missile can be seen being fired from a launcher.

However, ISPR provided no further details on when and where the test flight was carried out, as well as whether the test met any set expectations or objectives.

It also did not provide any information about the specifications of the rocket system and the intention behind the test flight.

The flight test by participating troops and scientists was appreciated by the country’s President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and COAS.

Last year, Pakistan conducted tests of its Ra’ad-II cruise missile and Ghaznavi surface-to-surface ballistic missile.
