England’s ‘longest and fastest’ zip wire set to open in April
Thrill-seekers will soon be able to take on England’s ‘longest and fastest’ zip wire, set to open in April.
The terrifying attraction will see riders whizzing along the impressive 72m-long zip line, reaching speeds of up to 60mph.
Oh, and you’ll be 70m above the ground.
Skywire will be opening at the new ‘Hangloose Adventure’ centre in Bluewater, Kent, which plans to be the biggest adventure centre in Europe, as reported by EssexLive.
It will take the title of ‘longest and fastest’ zip line from the Skywire attraction in Cornwall, which measures 600m.
Riders will be in a superman-style pose as they zoom along, complete with views of the ground below, as well as the Bluewater cliffwaters and the nearby lake.
There are currently plans to open the attraction in April 2021, government guidance allowing. (Outdoor attractions are set to reopen from April 12 under England’s lockdown roadmap).
There will be more on offer for adrenaline-seekers too, as the adventure centre will also feature the UK’s only outdoor skydive machine, climbing, giant swing and much more.
The centre itself is looking to open for the May bank holiday, after more restrictions are expected to lift in England from May 17.
Booking slots haven’t opened yet but you can already book early bird tickets. Prices for Skywire will start at £50 but there are tickets currently going from £45.
