The Metro Bus Service Will Be Suspended The 3rd of April

The District Magistrate of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) notified the suspension of Metro Bus services on Sunday (April 3) to avoid any untoward incident and to strengthen security during the National Assembly session for the vote of no-confidence, which was scheduled to take place in the Parliament House on Saturday.

The Assistant Commissioner Secretariat ICT would coordinate and ensure compliance, according to a notice released here.

Meanwhile, the ICT administration has issued a restriction on pillion riding in order to avert any adverse situations during the session.

“There is adequate reason, in my opinion, for moving under Section 144 CR.PC 1898 to prohibit the use of motorcycles for pillion riding in order to avoid any threat to public peace and safety.”
