Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain reviews on Pakistan’s constitution
President and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain of the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), has stated that Parliament cannot pass any legislation that is not subject to the Constitution; all laws are subservient to the Constitution.
Nobody can issue any order over and above the Constitution, according to Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Nobody can issue any order over and above the Constitution, whether it be the parliament, any office holder, or any individual in a personal capacity.
In a statement given in Lahore, he stated that the Parliament cannot pass any legislation that is not in accordance with the Constitution, since all laws are subject to it.
Meanwhile, PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi stated that the country does not desire outside intervention in its domestic issues.
He added in a statement on Tuesday that our choices should be made in conformity with the constitution and the will of the population.
He also expressed concern at the use of money to purchase elected officials’ consciences.
