‘I don’t even own a home,’ Elon Musk admits.

Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, surprised his fans by revealing that he was staying at a friend’s house.

During his recent lecture with TED’s Chris Anderson on Saturday, the Tesla CEO revealed that his personal consumption is not as high as many images.

“It would be very difficult if I spent billions of dollars on personal consumption every year, but that is not the case.”

“In fact, I don’t even own a home right now; I’m basically staying at friends’ houses,” he stated.

‘When I go to the Bay Area, where most of Tesla’s engineering is done, I simply rotate around friends’ spare bedrooms,’ Musk explained.

“I don’t own a boat.” I don’t take vacations at all. It’s not like my personal use is excessive.

“The only exception is a plane,” he explained, “but if I don’t use the plane, I have fewer hours to work.”
