The ongoing defamation action between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard became even more heated as the jury was shown a series of shocking images of the actor.

The actor believes Heard defamed him in a 2018 piece in which she portrayed herself as a victim of domestic abuse, and he’s suing her for $50 million in damages.

On Thursday, April 21, Heard’s defense presented jurors with a sequence of photos meant to cast the Pirates of the Caribbean star in a negative light.

In one of the more horrific photographs from the series, Depp, 58, is seen sleeping with a tub of melting ice cream running all over him.
