Widow is ecstatic after discovering her late husband’s wedding ring 37 years after he misplaced it.

Delighted Ann Kenrick discovered her late husband’s wedding ring in their back yard 37 years after he had misplaced it.
Ann, 90, discovered the ring while gardening near the foot of an ancient apple tree.
“I never imagined I’d locate it after 37 years,” Ann, whose husband Peter died 22 years ago, remarked.
It’s a large garden — I’m not sure if it’s a coincidence or a miracle. “I’m both astonished and delighted.”
Peter, whom she married in 1953, lost the wedding band in their yard in Looe, Cornwall, in 1985.

Mother-of-seven Ann stated that he would have been as astonished as she was when she discovered it on Saturday.
“It didn’t appear like a wedding ring at all — it looked like a nasty piece of twisted metal,” she added.
‘No, that couldn’t be,’ I thought as I stared at it. I got a little choked up when telling a buddy about it.”
She intends to mend it and wear it as a necklace.
“Mum was over the moon,” said son Bob Kenrick, 57.
