Klitschko is concerned that Russia would nuke Kyiv.
As his invasion falters, the heavyweight boxer turned mayor of Kiev is “concerned” that furious Vlad would bring out the big guns.
After his minions abandoned their attempts to grab Kyiv, the Russian dictator might launch a desperate strike.
Despite the wreckage they left behind, heroic Ukrainians have begun to reconstruct their lives – but Klitschko has cautioned people that they are returning “at their own peril.”
“As the leader of Kyiv, I tell everyone, ‘I’m sorry, it’s your personal risk, but we can’t provide you promises,” the mayor told.
We can’t grant any Ukrainian guarantees while Ukraine is at war.”
He reiterated his belief that Putin’s main plan is to occupy the city, adding he had “no doubt” it was still on his radar.
And he fears he will resort to whatever means necessary, including nuclear weapons, to achieve his aim, warning that an attack may occur at “any minute.”
It comes as a former Kremlin president warned that the world is on the verge of nuclear war, despite having his finger on the Russian nuclear button.
Dmitry Medvedev, a strong supporter of Vladimir Putin, has urged the West to stop supplying Ukraine with armaments.
“The incessant rhetoric by Western commentators about a war between NATO and Russia continues unabated,” the politician, who served as Russian president from 2008 to 2012, wrote. Western ‘talking heads” cynicism is becoming increasingly obvious.
“The idea that Russia scares the world by threatening nuclear war is being pushed to the forefront of the debate.”
“Of course, the Europeans are squeaking their little voices,” [Donald] Trump said recently, presumably to irritate [Joe] Biden.
“In the framework of the Western countries’ proxy war with Russia, I want to state very clearly once again the things that are so obvious to all sane people,” he said.
One, NATO countries are arming Ukraine, preparing its military to utilize Western weaponry, deploying mercenaries, and conducting exercises near our borders, increasing the likelihood of a direct and open battle between NATO and Russia rather than the ‘proxy war’ they are now fighting.
AN ADVISORY TO THE WEST “Second, such a battle has the potential to escalate into a full-fledged nuclear war.
Three, this would be a disaster for everyone involved. That’s it.
“So there’s no need to deceive yourself or others. “And don’t choke on your own saliva in Russophobia paroxysms,” says the author.
Putin’s deputy, Medvedev, is 56 years old.
