George W. Bush makes a ‘Freudian slip’.
Former US President George W Bush made a major “Freudian slip” in a speech at his presidential center on Thursday, when discussing the Russia and Ukraine issue, as defined by commentators.
“The decision of one man to start an utterly unnecessary and savage invasion of Iraq, I mean of Ukraine,” remarked the former US president in a slip of the tongue, which was met with laughter from hundreds of people.
The movie provoked controversy, with many journalists, commentators, and politicians questioning the insensitivity displayed to relatives of those who perished in the Iraq war following the US invasion.
Ilhan Omer, a member of the United States Congress, stated on Twitter that the former president’s blunder was the result of his “guilty conscience catching up.”
She stated that one eventually “ends up admitting, but no one cares to hold him accountable.”
“The laughter is unpleasant and reveals who this man and his audience are. There is no consideration for the thousands of US servicemen and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who killed in his war “she wrote in a tweet
In response to the former US president’s slip of the tongue, journalist Mehdi Hasan stated, “I’m not laughing, and I’m betting neither are the relatives of the thousands of American troops and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who perished in that war.”
