OLD Sex Pistols Paul Cook and Steve Jones were the main attraction at the debut of their new TV show, despite the absence of ex-pal Johnny Rotten.

Paul, 65, and Steve, 66, were in California to promote Pistol, a film about their 1970s rise to punk success.

However, reconciliation with Johnny, real name John Lydon, 66, seemed to have “no future” after he threatened legal action over the broadcast.

He called his exclusion from the process a “shockingly foolish act.”

Johnny has stated that he is dissatisfied with the director’s attempt to bring his musical plot to life.

The six-part series is based on the music of guitarist Steve Jones.
