In the midst of the UK’s cost-of-living crisis, a PETROL station dubbed the “most expensive” is selling fuel for much more than £2 per litre.
On Thursday, the Gulf station on Sloane Avenue in affluent Chelsea was seen charging drivers £2.38 for unleaded.
At that rate, the average tank of slightly more than 33 litres would have cost nearly £80.
The South Kensington Gulf is thought to be the most expensive petrol station in the United Kingdom.

Claudia Marquis was at the Shell on Queenstown Road in Nine Elms, Battersea, when she noticed the price had risen by more than 3p.
“Only moments ago, the price per litre was £1.82,” she said. However, the price of petrol has risen by 3p in the last three minutes, to £1.85.”
It comes at a time when a remote petrol station in the Scottish Highlands is selling diesel for £2.13p per litre.
The shocking cost is £9.67p per gallon, but motorists were seen queuing up for their share on Thursday.
According to report, the AA’s head of roads policy, rural areas are slightly more expensive – but you can never predict which areas will have the best deals.
There are approximately 8,000 petrol stations in the United Kingdom, making it difficult to determine which ones are the most expensive.
