PTI’s three-day protest in Islamabad costs over Rs330 million
The recent three-day protest by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Islamabad incurred expenses exceeding Rs330 million, according to sources.
The protests, organized under the pretext of security concerns, led to major expenditures by the Islamabad Police.
Over 800 containers were deployed to block key areas, costing Rs72.8 million.
The police procured 35,000 tear gas shells, utilizing many during the protests amounted to an expense of Rs150 million.
2,500 rubber bullet guns and ammunition were used costing an additional Rs110 million.
