Light rain brings chill to Lahore amid hazardous air quality
Lahore experienced light rain in various areas, including Faisal Town, Garden Town, Ferozepur Road, Gulberg, Jail Road, and Model Town, bringing a slight increase in the cold. The weather is expected to remain cloudy throughout the day, adding to the winter chill.
Despite the refreshing rain, the city continues to grapple with hazardous air quality levels. Lahore’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 249, a level considered unhealthy. Some areas reported alarmingly high AQI levels:
Pine Avenue and Surrounding Areas: 875, Shimla Pahari: 792, Johar Town: 774, Adda Plot Raiwind: 673, Township: 571, Defense: 539 and Mall Road: 470.
