ECONOMIC STABILITY

By Ghazia Qamar Butt
Economic stability is directly related to political stability. The political stability of a country is related to its growth. And the success of a country is related to its peace. Political stability is related to apolitical leadership. Political leadership should be powerful. There should be good governance. And is applied to the peace of a country. There should be a rule of law. We should follow the teachings of Islam in this connection. Hazrat Umar (R.A.) was a very powerful Muslim caliph of Islam. He (R.A.) was the second caliph of Islam. He (R.A.) was a great leader. He sets a good example of administration. Hazrat Umar (R.A) was the first person who organized different administrative jobs such as police chief or military security. After that, he (R.A.) is also the first one to establish an investigation of the complaints. They investigate the officers of the state. He (R.A.) ordered the ban on officers who are engaged in trade. He (R.A.) also ordered banning the governors who indulged in any business dealings from being in a position of
power.
There should be respect for everyone. During the days of famine, Hazrat Umar (R.A) ensures that no person sleeps hungry. He (R.A.) made night tours. He (R.A) used to round the city at night. One night when He (R.A) was with his companion Aslam, he (R.A) saw a cottage and there was the sound of the weeping of the children. He (R.A) knocked at the door and the lady, present, there replied that she was cooking and there was a kettle only containing water and stones. Doing so, she hoped that exhausted the children would go to sleep. Hazrat Umar (R.A) felt guilty. He (R.A) went to the Baitul Mal and (R.A) put all the necessary provisions in a bag and carried this bag to the cottage. He (R.A.) handed over this
bag to the lady.
There should be justice. During the battle of Badar, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had only one camel. He was with his two companions. Only one person can sit on the camel. And when it was the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) turn His (PBUH) companions were not ready to do so. But He (PBUH) dislikes receiving different treatments. He (PBUH) also bears the same hardship as them. When a woman from Bani Mukhzum steals, her family begs for forgiveness. But Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) did not accept it. He (PBUH) said that the past nations were destroyed because of their injustice. He (PBUH) said, if Fatima, my daughter stole, I would cut off her hands too.
There should be equal opportunities for all. People must have the right to live freely. Every citizen should have the right to get an education. There must be health facilities. They must have access to the market. There must be transport facilities. In this way, they can easily sell their goods and buy them according to their need. They must have access to clean drinking water.
Pakistan is rich in natural resources. All the resources can prove worthwhile with strong political leadership. With weak leadership, it would be of no use. Balochistan is a province of Pakistan. Baluchistan is rich in natural resources e.g. gold, oil, copper, natural gas, and valuable stones. Natural gas was discovered in, Sui, Baluchistan, Pakistan in 1952 and has supplied gas to all over Pakistan. For 71 years, the country’s economy has had its share of natural resources in Baluchistan. There are more than eighty mineral resources. They are not yet explored.
But Pakistan is poor in management. The Management whether it is of a school, institute, or company plays a vital role. A teacher handles a class with good management. If there is no management, then the teacher will be a powerless figure in the classroom. Developed countries have progressed through their leadership. According to the calculation, China became independent 2 years after Pakistan’s independence. According to the 2018 calculation, data published by the United Nations Statistics Division, China accounted for 28 percent of global manufacturing output. African countries are facing problems due to dishonest leadership. People are exploited economically when there is a dictatorial boom. Four months after the emergence of Pakistan, on 28 December 1947, Quaid-e-Azam said “We are passing through a difficult time. So, we must serve the nation with honesty. So that when we appear before Allah, we can say that you performed your duty with integrity.
Dishonest leaders only work for their property and increase their wealth. And people face poverty and inflammation. Good management of any institute or company provides equal services to the people. They are granted freedom of speech, thought, and good governance. Patriotic leadership ensures good governance in the world. Pakistan came into being in 1947, his presence at the helm of affairs enabled the newly born nation to overcome the crisis. It seems to be a miracle. He mustered up unquestioning loyalty. He raises the feeling of patriotism. So, the world’s political landscape demands careful attention and responsible management.
