The case against Rana Shamim has been adjourned by the IHC until April 26.

The hearing of a contempt of court case against ex-chief judge Gilgit Baltistan Rana Shamim in his infamous affidavit case was adjourned by the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday until April 26.

The case was heard by Chief Justice Athar Minallah. Qasim Wadood, the Additional Attorney General, Rana Shamim, and others were in court.

The Attorney General of Pakistan notified the court that he would be unable to attend the sessions due to his Supreme Court commitments. The court then delayed the matter until April 26.

It’s worth noting that the IHC filed contempt of court charges against Rana Shamim after his affidavit implicating ex-chief justice Saqib Nisar was published in a publication.
