Will Smith prepares to return to the spotlight following his Oscar snub.

Will Smith is preparing to return to the public eye with an interview with David Letterman later this month, following his ten-year ban from the Academy Awards.

According to reports, the King Richard actor will appear on Netflix’s My Next Guest Needs No Introduction on May 20. He recently flew to India to seek spiritual guidance.

However, because the show was taped earlier in the year, the 53-year-old actor will not discuss his argument with the comedian on the stage of the Academy Awards ceremony on March 27.

Smith is said to have taped the interview in January when the two were together.

Meanwhile, after the ceremony, the Gemini Man star issued a statement admitting that he had “betrayed the trust of the Academy” before resigning from the organization.

As a result, the star is no longer eligible to vote in the Academy Awards.
