A spokesperson said: “We’re aware of the complaint and the footage and we’ve been in touch with the resident directly.
“As this relates to an ongoing investigation, it wouldn’t be appropriate to comment further.”
A Scots woman was targeted by a fuming binman who poured rubbish at the front of her house after she complained about a missed collection.
The raging council worker turned up at the Edinburgh home and emptied the woman’s general waste bin onto a grass verge on her street on March 4.
He has since been moved to a different city route after the incident which was captured on video.
The man can be seen engaging in a heated discussion before indicating to the woman her waste wasn’t collected due to a glass bottle in the bin, reports Edinburgh Live.
After emptying the bin he can be heard telling the woman “you’re putting our jobs at risk” before he begins filming her.
The woman’s dad said the encounter had left his daughter shaken and scared as the whole thing happened after she submitted a complaint about missed waste collections at the home.
He said: “She’s had a problem with the binman for around 18 months now. Mainly about her bin not being emptied. She’s put in constant complaints.
“On the day this happened her bin was missed again and she went on to the web to complain. They were then told over radio to go back and get it.”
The dad says it wasn’t until later in the day that the worker showed up.
“When he got there he started shouting and bawling. He tipped her bin out in the middle of the road. This was later on, and he showed up without the truck or anything,” he said.
