Giant 14ft dead python slithers outside Scottish pub
This is the shocking moment building workers found a 14ft snake next to a popular pub in Scotland.
The huge reptile, believed to be a Burmese python, was coiled up next to a metal fence and the men thought it was dead – before it started to slither.
It comes amid fears there could be more on the loose in Greenock, Renfrewshire, after a dead one was found nearby.
Meanwhile three snakes and a cat were found dead in Lanarkshire woods in what the SSPCA branded an ‘very unusual incident’ just weeks ago.

The live snake was found opposite the normally busy Broomhill Tavern – closed due to the pandemic – and footage of it was posted online.
The clip shows one of the workers daring to approach the beast, before saying: ‘F****** hell man, look at the size of it.’
Locals joked about the find on social media, with one saying: ‘Greenock’s best gaff in the country no doubt, where else in Scotland has snakes kicking about it the now.’
Another said: ‘As if there weren’t enough snakes slithering around the streets of Greenock.’
And one more added: ‘Wouldn’t mind so much but I had a dream about being attacked in Greenock Tesco by a snake the other night.’
