For the Baisakhi festival, Pakistan has issued 2,200 visas to Sikh pilgrims

The Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi has awarded over 2,200 visas to Sikh pilgrims from India for the annual Baisakhi festival, which will be held in Pakistan from April 12 to 21.
The Pakistan-India Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines, which was signed in 1974, governs visa issuing. Every year, thousands of Sikh Yatrees from India go to Pakistan to participate in religious events. The visas given in New Delhi are in addition to the visas awarded to Sikh pilgrims from other countries who are attending these ceremonies.

The High Commission’s granting of pilgrimage visas to religious pilgrims reflects Pakistan’s resolve to fully follow the Bilateral Protocol on Visits to Religious Shrines between the two nations.
Charge d’Affaires Aftab Hasan Khan expressed his sentiments on the auspicious occasion, extending his warmest congratulations to the pilgrims and wishing them a happy and satisfying yatra. He went on to say that Pakistan takes great satisfaction in protecting precious religious sites and giving required assistance to visiting pilgrims.
Pilgrims would visit Panja Sahib, Nankana Sahib, and Kartarpur Sahib, among other places, during their tour. They will arrive in Pakistan on April 12 and leave on April 21.
