Badger and fox share a midnight snack in Essex Garden
A badger and a fox were captured on camera sharing a midnight snack in a village garden.
Nigel Cornwell, a wildlife enthusiast from Woodham Walter, near Danbury in Essex, spotted the animals.
Mr Cornwell said he had been feeding the badgers since he moved into the house five years ago, following in the footsteps of the previous owner, who had done so for decades. The foxes only recently began to join the feed.
“Until this year, we’d never really seen them together,” Mr Cornwell told.
“First, the foxes appeared… and then the badgers reappeared.” We basically put a scoop of dog biscuits out every evening, and I believe the badgers let the foxes have a few. They have a great time together.”
