Meghan Markle lightheartedly calms royal children.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were seen at Trooping the Colour, the first event of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the first royal event since she left the Firm.
While watching the parade at Horse Guards Parade, Meghan was seen jokingly telling some royal children, including Savannah Phillips, to be quiet.
As Princess Beatrice’s husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi looked on, she looked elegant in a navy gown and a large hat. Meanwhile, other photos showed Harry and Meghan conversing with the Queen’s cousin, the Duke of Kent.
However, neither Meghan nor Harry appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony later that day.
“After careful consideration, the Queen has decided this year’s traditional Trooping the Colour balcony appearance on Thursday, June 2 will be limited to Her Majesty and those members of the royal family who are currently undertaking official public duties on behalf of the Queen,” a Palace spokesman previously stated.
The carriage carrying the young Cambridges and duchesses was followed by another carrying the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their children Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn.
George, eight, Charlotte, seven, and three-year-old Louis smiled and waved as they sat in a row, with Louis in the middle of his older siblings. Charlotte eventually took command and pushed Louis’s hand down as he continued to wave.
