CRISTIANO RONALDO believes Manchester United can win trophies under Erik ten Hag, despite saying “things must change.”

And the 37-year-old appears to have confirmed his intention to remain at Old Trafford by stating that he is still “happy” at the club.

Ronaldo’s future had been uncertain until Ten Hag confirmed last month that he was still a part of his plans.

Ronaldo appeared to confirm his future with United in an interview with the club’s official website.

“I was and still am very happy to be here,” Ronaldo said of his emotional return to Manchester United.

Ronaldo is also confident in the new manager.

“I know he [Ten Hag] did a fantastic job for Ajax and is an experienced coach, but we need to give him time,” he said. Things must change in his favour. Of course, I hope we succeed.” Because if you succeed, the rest of Manchester will succeed as well, so I wish him the best.”
