The effective time you should eat breakfast has been revealed.
CHANGING THE TIME OF YOUR BREAKFAST COULD BE THE MISSING PIECE IN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS PLAN.
According to experts, there is a better breakfast time for Brits that could help them lose weight and become healthier.
Many people will eat their eggs or cereal between 7 and 9 a.m.
However, Tim Spector, professor of genetic epidemiology at King’s College London, proposed rescheduling breakfast to 11 a.m.
People eat dinner later than previous generations, around 8 or 9 p.m.
It means they are eating over a much wider time span, which may result in increased calorie consumption.
According to Prof Spector, the most important benefit of shortening your eating window is that it allows the body to fast.
“There are still people who eat earlier, particularly in the north of England, but generally we have moved towards continental eating habits, having dinner much later like people in Spain and Italy,” he told.
“Even those who don’t do this may end up snacking until 9 p.m., making a 14-hour fast difficult to achieve.”
People can make a simple change by shifting their breakfast from 8am to 11am, which is actually more effective than more popular fasting diets like 5:2.
