Jessie Wallace of EastEnders was arrested after allegedly assaulting a cop.

The actress, 50, was arrested after a fight broke out in front of revellers outside Flex in leafy Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

It is believed Jessie, who was later released after receiving a warning, was with her hot new boyfriend at the time.

“A 50-year-old woman was arrested early on Sunday morning in St Andrew’s Street, Bury St Edmunds, on suspicion of assaulting a police officer/drunk and disorderly conduct and was released without charge after receiving a conditional caution,” a Suffolk Police spokesman told.

Jessie was previously seen watching Madness at Thetford Forest in Brandon.

Jessie happily posed for photos with fans while smiling.

The actress dated greengrocer Paul Keepin for two years before splitting in 2019.

In 2016, she ended a four-year relationship with singer Tim Arnold.

She had called off her wedding to catering boss Vincent Morse at the last minute five years before.

The arrest comes after she was photographed looking bleary-eyed as she left the British Soap Awards barefoot earlier this month.

Jessie returned to EastEnders in September 2020 after being fired for allegedly drinking on set.

After crisis talks, it was decided that character Kat Slater would be written out for two months to allow Jessie to “sort herself out.”

She first appeared on the soap in 2000 and quickly became a fan favourite as Alfie Moon’s (Shane Richie) girlfriend.

They split up again to star in their own six-part, Redwater, before Jessie returned to EastEnders in 2018.

Tallulah, the actress’s 17-year-old daughter, gave birth to a baby boy, and she recently became a grandmother.
