Belarus president to arrive in Pakistan today for key bilateral talks

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko is set to arrive in Islamabad today for an official visit, which will run until November 27.

On the occasion of his visit, President Lukashenko will engage in detailed discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The two leaders will focus on strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, industry, and technology.

Several agreements and memorandums of understanding are expected to be signed during the visit, further cementing the growing partnership between the two nations.

The premier had personally invited President Lukashenko to visit Pakistan, emphasising the importance of this high-level diplomatic engagement.

The visit is seen as an opportunity to foster economic growth and open new avenues for collaboration between the two countries.

As part of the visit, a high-level Belarusian ministerial delegation, led by Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzenko, has already arrived in Islamabad. The delegation was warmly received at the airport by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Additional Foreign Secretary (Europe) Shafqat Ali Khan, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belarus, Sajjad Haider Khan.
