According to recent comments from the show’s creator, Sweeney strongly supported the inclusion of explicit content, arguing that it was essential for maintaining the authenticity of her character’s storyline.

The discussion surfaced during a conversation on Popcast, a podcast by The New York Times, where creator Sam Levinson shared behind-the-scenes insights about the production process.
Levinson said he initially considered toning down or avoiding nudity in certain scenes, exploring alternative ways to shoot the material while still preserving the narrative.
However, the idea was later challenged by Sweeney during production discussions.

Recounting the moment, Levinson said Sweeney questioned the idea of removing explicit elements, especially given her character’s arc involving an OnlyFans storyline.
According to him, Sweeney responded by saying it would not make sense to avoid nudity if the character’s journey directly involved adult content.
Following her reaction, Levinson said he ultimately agreed with her perspective and acknowledged the importance of staying true to the storyline.
