Watch this video of a terrifying hot air balloon crash

Heart-pounding video footage shows the airship’s guide anxiously encouraging the passengers to ‘hang on’ and’stay in the basket’ as high-speed winds caused a crowded hot-air balloon to crash-land in California.

On Friday, Nicholas McCall uploaded the amazing 24-second video on TikTok. It begins with a close-up of the California resident in the basket of the balloon, which is hovering over Perris, some 80 miles north of San Diego, with many others.

At first glance, McCall, who filmed the video to chronicle his first hot-air balloon trip, appears to be having a good time with the rest of the group, photographing the town and surrounding beauties as the balloon floats high in the sky.

As the hot-air balloon fell, winds blew up and buffeted it, forcing the journey to abruptly veer south.

‘My hot air balloon journey was going fine until the winds came up,’ McCall writes in the caption, adding that he was able to bring out his phone and photograph the catastrophe.

The balloon’s guide can be heard shouting to passengers as they brace for impact in the nail-biting video, which has been shared over 650,000 times.

‘Wait a second!’ Please hold on! “Hang on!” yells the teacher as the balloon and basket hurtle to the earth in an area of grassland just outside of the California town while McCall films.

‘Everyone, hold on! ‘Hold on tight and stay in the basket!’ The guide shouts in the shaky film as the vessel is hauled at high speeds.

‘Come along with me in the basket!’ Keep going! Keep going! During the bumpy landing, the person can be heard shouting, “Stay on!” while members of McCall’s group weep and groan.

After 20 terrifying seconds, the video unexpectedly fades off, leaving some doubt regarding the group’s fate following the impact.

‘Tik tok we are all fine don’t delete,’ McCall, on the other side, said in his post, indicating that everyone survived the tragedy.
