Camilla Cabello was suffering from anxiety.
Camilla Cabello was upfront about her nervousness as she began working on her album Familia.
In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the Seorita singer spoke up about her mental health difficulties, claiming she couldn’t ‘function’ and that it prompted her to seek counselling.
Cabello explained, “I didn’t go back in the studio for a couple months.” I’d just ended a counselling session. I was unable to do anything because I was unable to function. I couldn’t work because I was sick. And I found a therapist who spoke to me in a language I could comprehend.”
“And stepping into the studio and saying, ‘I’m not going to do it if it doesn’t make me happy,’ was a significant part of that healing.” This is not going to be a performance. For me, it’s too much. “I’m not going to do it,” the 25-year-old singer stated emphatically.
“It has to be something that makes me feel better and improves my situation because I can’t allow this to become a source of worry or stress for me.” “I’m not going to do something like that.”
“And that’s why, for me, being among others was so important,” the singer explained, revealing how anxiety forced her to isolate herself. And don’t get me started on the music. ‘I need to be able to trust and feel safe with the people with whom I’m working on this project.’
