McDonald’s ‘worker’ shows inside McFlurry machine – and fans are not impressed

Someone claiming to be a McDonald’s employee appears to have given fans a glimpse inside the ice cream machine – and many customers have vowed never to order it again.

TikTok user @Meg.morgan4 uploaded a clip titled: ‘Cleaning the ice cream machine at McDonald’s’ and it’s gained more than 180,000 views on the platform.

It shows what she claims to be the machine at the fast food restaurant with old ice cream and chocolate toppings solidified on the metal surface as she attempts to scrape it off with spoon, adding: “Ew this is disgusting”.

By the end the machine looks to be clean and shiny again, but some viewers appeared to have already made their minds up, as one person commented to say: “Never eating that ice cream again.”

A second said: “Well I’m not ordering ice cream from McDonald’s again.”

A third replied: “Now I see why yall always say the ice cream machine is broken.”

And another added: “Make it work too.”

But not everyone was put off, as others commented to say the cleaning video had made them crave a McFlurry.

Previously, a former McDonald’s worker shared a staff secret about why customers are sometimes left disappointed when they try to order a McFlurry or milkshake.

According to the ex-employee, the machines aren’t usually broken – they claim the staff probably just can’t be bothered to clean them.

They revealed on Twitter : “Btw, I used to work in McDonald’s. The ice cream machine was never broke, it just takes three hours to clean so we used to say it was broke so we didn’t have to serve you lot. Cheers.”

And it seems it’s not a rare excuse, as another added: “As an ex-McDonald’s employee, the ice cream machine was always working it just took too long to clean it so we used to tell everyone it was broken hahaha.”

McDonald’s has been contacted for comment.
