A young man was left bedridden after consuming McDonald’s.

Bullies dubbed Damian Burgoyne, 31, a ‘Fat Dyslexic Pig’ because he ate £145,000 worth of McDonald’s burgers and fries from the age of 14 to 28 – but that’s all changed now.

A man was rendered bedridden after his weight ballooned to 34 stone as a result of his daily McDonald’s diet.

Damian Burgoyne, 31, of Australia, ate at the fast food restaurant for 14 years for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

From the age of 14 to 28, he spent £145,000 on burgers and fries before finally undergoing bypass surgery and losing 20 stone.

Damian was unable to shower or dress himself when he was at his heaviest.

His £200-per-week salary Bullies mocked McDonald by calling him a ‘Fat Dyslexic Pig’ and a ‘Back Boob Betty.’

Damian is one of five boys, and as he grew older, he realized he was the tallest of his siblings. Despite following the same diet as his brothers, he continued to gain weight while they remained trim.

Damian struggled with his weight privately, and while he tried to laugh off the teasing and hurtful name calling, such as ‘Back Boob Betty,’ ‘No Neck,’ and even ‘Fat Dyslexic Pig,’ he was eating the pain away behind closed doors.

“Everything I did was centred on food,” Damian explained.

“I’d spend about £25 on each meal and eat it three times a day,” he explained.

“When you add up how much I spent throughout my life, it’s insane.” It seemed cheaper than grocery shopping at the time, and it was just easier to get takeout.”

Damian had used food as a comfort blanket since he was a teenager, and he turned to it whenever things got tough. He described how his school years were marred by negativity because of his weight issues.

“When I liked a girl and approached her to tell her I liked her, her reaction was aw, Damian.” You’re cute, but I don’t like chubby guys. “That moment of rejection was the first time I realised I had a weight problem.” I’ve been called every name under the sun, and the only way I’ve dealt with it was to ignore it.
