A visitor died in Spain after falling from the seventh story of a hotel.
In the tragic fall at the South Beach Hotel in the party resort, the 34-year-old man perished instantaneously.
The event happened this morning about 8 a.m. at the hotel on Notari Alemany in Calvià.
According to initial accounts from local media, the man may have slipped while attempting to balance on the hotel’s railings.
During the early morning tragedy, he fell more than 50 feet to his death from the seventh level.
The unidentified British man is thought to have died instantly, with “nothing that could be done” to save him.
Before he was pronounced dead, emergency services including an ambulance, police, and the Civil Guard raced to the scene.
The incident was also visited by doctors from a neighboring medical centre, but they were unable to revive the man.
In the next hours, an autopsy will be performed to officially determine the 34-year-cause old’s of death.
The incident is being investigated by cops in Majorca’s party destination.
They are reportedly questioning the victim’s relatives and friends in order to piece together his movements prior to his death.
“The dead individual is a 34-year-old British man,” a Civil Guard spokesman stated.
The incident occurred recently, and we can’t say anything at this time because the inquiry is still underway.”
“He plunged from the seventh floor of a hotel named South Beach in Magaluf,” a well-placed person close to the investigation revealed. “At the moment, it is being considered as an accident rather than a crime, although the dead man is thought to have been with other people when this drama occurred,” says the spokesperson.
It’s unclear whether the victim was a guest at the four-star hotel where the incident occurred.
“It’s all very recent and we’re not talking about it,” a receptionist at the South Beach Hotel remarked.
