Woman enraged at ‘garbage’ TUI after her £1,900 family vacation was cancelled by email.
A mother is furious after her £1,900 vacation was cancelled by email two years after she booked it.
Sarah Kandziorca of Chapeltown, West Yorkshire, had already arrived at Manchester Airport when they learned their long-awaited vacation had been cancelled.
She was enraged when she and her two children were unable to go on their vacation, calling TUI “garbage” and vowing never to fly with the airline again.
They were upbeat when they arrived at the airport and were told that everything would go as planned.
However, just 10 minutes later, they received a crushing email informing them that their trip had been cancelled.
Long lines and cancelled flights have plagued holidaymakers at airports across the country during half-term and in the run-up to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Cirium, an aviation data firm, reported 377 cancelled flights from UK airports in the seven days leading up to yesterday, with more than 150 cancelled today (Wednesday, June 1).
Sarah and her children were supposed to fly to Turkey on Monday at 6.20 a.m., but their flight was rescheduled for 8 a.m. yesterday.
“This vacation has been planned for two years,” Sarah explained. We were picked up on Sunday and told by TUI that the flight would take place all day. We arrived at the airport and waited for ten minutes.
