The APML rejects news of Pervez Musharraf’s death.
According to family sources, Musharraf was admitted to the hospital last week after his health deteriorated.
The All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), the political party founded by former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, has denied reports of his death on social media.
The APML said in a statement today, “General (R) Pervez Musharraf is at home and doing well.” He has been receiving treatment for his condition (Amyloidosis).”
The circulating news about his death is false, it said, urging the public to pray for his quick recovery.
The former president’s family said in a separate statement on his Twitter account that he is not on the ventilator.
“Has been in the hospital for the last three weeks due to a complication of his illness.” Going through a difficult stage in which recovery is impossible and organs are failing. “Pray for him to be at ease in his daily life.”
It is worth noting that the former Pakistani ruler has been residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for many years.
