£1 million lottery win enabled one’s daughter to give birth to their grandchildren.’

Jeff and Davina Pritchard of Carmarthen, Wales, won the lottery and used the money to help their daughter’s dream of becoming a mother after she struggled to conceive.

A couple who won £1 million in the lottery spent their winnings on the birth of two new grandchildren.

When their daughter Claire was unable to conceive, Jeff and Davinia Pritchard stepped in with their chequebook.

Claire was over 20 stone at the time, so Jeff and Davinia used their winnings to fund private gastric surgery.

She lost ten stone and became pregnant shortly after.

She now has two children, Lillie, two, and Emrys, 11 months. Obesity can lower your chances.

“When we won, we wanted to share our joy with our family, and that’s exactly what we did.”

Claire, 39, and Jonathan, 49, a retail worker, announced their 2019 pregnancy on Mother’s Day.

“I put the baby scan picture in the Mother’s Day card,” she explained. There were many tears.

“We had given up on having children,” she added. We would not have had them had Mum and Dad not won the lottery.

Davinia and Jeff, 58, still live in the same converted farmhouse in Carmarthenshire seven years after winning the Lotto raffle.

Jeff left his job as a construction works manager to become a honey producer.

Davinia splurged on a champagne Audi Q5.
