Kevin Spacey is granted bail in his sexual assault case.

Kevin Spacey’s lawyer said on Thursday that the actor “strenuously denies” allegations that he sexually assaulted three men. The actor appeared in a London court to face charges on Thursday.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Tan Ikram granted him unconditional bail until his next hearing on July 14 at Southwark Crown Court in south London at 0830 GMT.

As he arrived and left Westminster Magistrates Court in bright sunshine, Spacey, 62, smiled but said nothing to a scrum of waiting reporters, photographers, and television cameras.

Inside the courtroom, the actor, dressed in a light blue suit, stood in the dock to give his full name as Kevin Spacey Fowler, his date of birth, and his London address.

During the 28-minute hearing, no formal pleas were entered. “Mr Spacey strenuously denies any and all criminality in this case,” his lawyer Patrick Gibbs told the court.
