Police are looking for a thief who stole a dog from its owner while she was having a heart attack in the street.
Kat Conway collapsed on the pavement in central London while walking her Shih Poo named Jessie.
The crew called paramedics, who rushed the 50-year-old to the hospital but refused to let her take Jessie, six, in the back of an ambulance.
Kat recalled a man with blond hair. He came to help her, she said, but then took her apricot-colored dog.
At 2 p.m. on Monday, Kat was walking along Euston Road near the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel when she fell to the pavement.
Distraught “I’m really worried about her,” Kat said today. She is my shadow and is always with me. This is breaking my heart, and all I want is for her to return home so I can cuddle with her.”
“I don’t want to say anything negative because it might aggravate things,” she added.
“But I’m in a bad way and just want my Jessie home safe and sound.”
Jessie has bowed front legs and is neutered and chipped. Kat has received the information correctly.
She was dressed in a matching collar and harness.
