Pakistanis do not want regular McDonald’s fries.

For all McDonald’s fans in Pakistan, June 16, 2022 was a horrifying day. McDonalds Pakistan announced at 8:34 p.m. that it will no longer serve medium and large fries, only regular fries with adjusted prices for medium/large meals.

The company cited a “supply chain issue,” but that was insufficient to appease the hungry Pakistanis.

McDonald’s first opened in Pakistan in 1998, and it has remained popular ever since for its fresh and crispy french fries. We can only imagine picking up their iconic red box with the world-famous yellow arches on the front that encase a generous amount of stiff golden sticks of goodness as we type this. One can hardly wait to get started.

The news that large and medium fries would no longer be served sparked outrage on social media among Pakistanis who prefer large portions of unhealthy vegetables.

Some people are going through the stages of grief.
