Racegoers try to stay cool in the 32-degree heat as men are allowed to remove their ties for the first time.

Temperatures are expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius by midday at the Berkshire venue, but organizers have relaxed the notoriously strict dress code today.

Racegoers at Royal Ascot have arrived for the fourth day dressed in fabulous headpieces and ornate fans in an attempt to shield themselves from the scorching weather.

The annual Berkshire event attracts well-dressed famous faces, and this year is no exception.

Carrie Johnson, the Prime Minister’s wife, was spotted on the grounds on Friday, dressed elegantly in cream.

On what is now officially the hottest day of the year, it’s another scorcher at the venue.

However, in an unusual move, organisers have relaxed the notoriously strict dress code.

“The dress code has been relaxed,” a Royal Ascot spokesman said. “This means that racegoers will be expected to arrive compliant but can remove jackets and ties as the day progresses due to the high temperatures.”

We are also allowing guests in all enclosures to bring their own water and soft drinks.”
